⛳ ANCHOR UNDER PRESSURE™

A 7-Step Golf Mental Game Reset to Play With Calm Confidence and Freedom When It Matters Most

Without Changing Your Swing

By Paul Callaway, PhD

You Know You Can Hit the Shots. So Why Does Your Game Change When the Pressure Goes Up?

You stripe it on the driving range.

Your swing feels smooth. Your tempo feels natural. You're confident over the ball.

Then you step onto the first tee... miss an important putt... hit one bad drive... see water guarding the green... start thinking about your score... or find yourself playing alongside golfers you desperately want to impress.

And suddenly, you're playing a completely different game.

Your chest tightens. Your grip gets firmer. Your mind starts racing.

You begin questioning your club selection, thinking about your swing, steering the ball, rushing your routine, or worrying about where you don't want the ball to go.

And sometimes one bad shot turns into three.

If this sounds familiar, your swing may not be the real problem.

Your response to pressure may be what's holding you back.

Anchor Under Pressure™ was created to help you change that.

🏌️ Introducing the Anchor Under Pressure™ System

This isn't another collection of generic golf tips telling you to "relax," "stay positive," or "just trust your swing."

It's a practical, step-by-step mental-game system designed to show you exactly what to do before, during, and after the moments when pressure begins taking over your game.

You'll learn a simple 7-step process for recognizing your personal pressure pattern, calming your response, making clear decisions, committing to the shot in front of you, recovering quickly from mistakes, and playing with greater confidence and freedom.

And you can begin implementing the entire system without rebuilding or changing your golf swing.

🎯 Anchor Under Pressure™ Is Designed for the Golfer Who...

✓ Hits the ball well on the range but struggles to take that same confidence onto the golf course.

✓ Gets nervous on the first tee or during important rounds.

✓ Starts overthinking mechanics when the pressure increases.

✓ Loses confidence after one or two poor shots.

✓ Plays defensively because of water, hazards, OB, or fear of making a big number.

✓ Rushes when nervous or uncomfortable.

✓ Struggles to commit fully to a club, target, or shot.

✓ Becomes intimidated when playing with better golfers.

✓ Gets anxious over short putts that suddenly "matter."

✓ Has trouble letting go of mistakes.

✓ Finds himself or herself protecting a good score instead of continuing to play freely.

✓ Knows the physical ability is there—but can't consistently access it when it matters most.

If you recognize yourself in even a few of these situations, Anchor Under Pressure™ was created for you.

🔥 The Real Problem Isn't Pressure. It's What Happens Next.

Every golfer experiences pressure.

The goal isn't to eliminate every butterfly, elevated heartbeat, nervous thought, or uncomfortable feeling.

The goal is to develop a reliable response so those feelings no longer have to dictate your next decision or swing.

That's the fundamental shift you'll learn inside Anchor Under Pressure™:

You can experience pressure and still make a clear decision and a committed golf swing.

Instead of wondering what to do when your confidence starts slipping, you'll have a specific system to return to.

🧠 The 7-Step Anchor Under Pressure™ Method

STEP 1 — Diagnose Your Pressure Pattern

Discover which of four common pressure personalities tends to take over your game:

The Fixer — starts changing mechanics during the round.

The Rusher — speeds everything up to escape the uncomfortable moment.

The Doubter — second-guesses clubs, targets, decisions, and shots.

The Protector — guides the ball and plays to avoid mistakes instead of freely executing the shot.

You'll identify your dominant pattern, your biggest triggers, and the situations where your confidence is most vulnerable.

Because once you recognize your pattern, you can interrupt it.

STEP 2 — Redefine Confidence

What if confidence isn't something you have to feel before you can play well?

Inside the guide, you'll learn a far more useful definition:

Confidence = Commitment Without the Need for Control

You'll learn how to move your attention away from uncontrollable outcomes and back toward what you can actually control:

Your target. Your decision. Your routine. Your attitude. Your commitment.

You'll also install two simple mental anchors:

“My job is commitment, not control.”

“I choose one target, one shot, one swing.”

STEP 3 — Learn the 60-Second Anchor Reset™

This may become the most valuable tool in your golf bag—and it doesn't weigh an ounce.

When anxiety spikes, you hit a terrible shot, your mind starts racing, or you feel your confidence slipping, you'll know exactly what to do.

You'll learn the five-part reset:

BREATHE → NAME → NEUTRALIZE → CHOOSE → COMMIT

Instead of allowing one mistake to hijack the next several holes, you'll have an emergency mental brake designed to help you regain clarity and return your attention to the shot in front of you.

STEP 4 — Build Your Pressure-Proof 3-2-1 Pre-Shot Routine™

Pressure creates mental clutter.

Your routine creates clarity.

You'll develop a short, repeatable process based around:

3 — PICTURE

See the shot you intend to create.

2 — FEEL

Choose one simple athletic feel such as tempo or balance.

1 — COMMIT

Use one personal commitment word such as:

TRUST • SMOOTH • FREE • ANCHOR • COMMIT • FAITH

Then step in and swing.

You'll also learn the Commitment Line concept that helps separate decision-making from execution—so you can stop conducting a swing lesson over the ball and start playing golf again.

STEP 5 — Train Confidence That Actually Transfers to the Course

Hitting perfect seven-irons on the range doesn't necessarily prepare you for the pressure of a four-footer to win your match.

That's why you'll learn the Second-Ball Confidence Drill™.

Instead of simply judging practice by ball flight, you'll score the mental skills that matter under pressure:

Routine. Commitment. Acceptance.

Your goal?

21 Mental-Performance Points

You're training yourself to practice the way you want to compete.

STEP 6 — Master the Critical Five Seconds After Every Shot

A poor golf shot doesn't have to destroy your confidence.

What happens after the shot often determines whether the mistake ends there—or follows you to the next hole.

You'll learn the simple:

BLESS → BANK → NEXT™

response.

BLESS: “That's information.”

BANK: “I keep my confidence.”

NEXT: “What's my next best decision?”

Instead of mentally replaying mistakes, you'll train yourself to recover.

Don't rehearse the miss. Rehearse the response.

STEP 7 — Build Your Personal Pressure Plan

Pressure becomes easier to manage when you've already decided how you're going to respond.

You'll receive specific plans for several of golf's most uncomfortable situations, including:

⛳ First-tee nerves

💥 Recovering after a double bogey

🎯 Short pressure putts

🏌️ Playing alongside better golfers

📉 Protecting a good score

🧠 Stopping the mental spiral before one bad shot becomes three

You'll walk onto the course with a plan instead of hoping your confidence shows up.

Anchor Under Pressure™ goes deeper than conventional positive thinking.

Throughout the guide, Dr. Paul Callaway connects practical mental-performance strategies with powerful biblical principles involving:

Faith instead of fear
Trust instead of excessive control
Peace under pressure
Present-moment focus
Courage in adversity
Disciplined thinking
Letting go of the past
Separating personal worth from golf performance

You'll explore foundational passages including 2 Timothy 1:7, Philippians 4:6–7, Proverbs 3:5, Psalm 56:3, Isaiah 26:3, Joshua 1:9, Philippians 3:13, Galatians 6:4, Matthew 6:34 and more.

You'll also receive an Anchor Under Pressure Prayer and a short 10-Second On-Course Prayer for those moments when you need to reconnect with peace, trust, and perspective.

🙏 Perhaps the Most Important Lesson of All...

Your score is not your identity.

Golf is something you do. It isn't who you are.

When your identity becomes tied to performance, every important golf shot can begin feeling like a test of your worth.

Anchor Under Pressure™ teaches a different way:

You can care deeply about your performance without being defined by it.
You can pursue excellence without demanding perfection.
You can make mistakes without attacking yourself.
You can compete hard while maintaining perspective.

And you can stand over an important golf shot knowing:

“This shot matters—but it does not define me.”

That freedom can change much more than your golf.
